Medical procedures in general anaesthesia are used for children aged 3 and more, who do not cooperate with the dentist and the condition of their teeth poses serious threat to the overall health, or for the disabled children. In the case of leaving teeth untreated, various kinds of inflammations can occur. The consequences of postponing the dental treatment can pose far more serious danger to health than the anaesthesia. Trying to force the little patient to go to the dentist can cause mental trauma and resistance to undergo any further medical procedures..

The main benefit of general anaesthesia is the temporary disablement of consciousness of the child for the duration of the medical procedure, thanks to which the child avoids the stress connected with treatment. In the case of extensive tooth decay, general anaesthesia is the only right solution. Thanks to general anaesthesia, the dentist has the space and time necessary for performing the medical procedure requiring high precision. Dear Parents! MOTO-MED Clinic provides comprehensive top quality anaesthesia services, to guarantee comfort and safety to your child, and peace of mind and confidence to you..

Before the medical procedure, the anaesthetist informs parents of the details of the procedure, possible complications, asks about the medical history, medications taken. In order to maximise the safety, the anaesthetist examines all details and answers all in-depth questions. Next, the two parties sign the consent form. At the time, when the dentist and the nurse focus on dental care, the anaesthetist continually oversees and watches the child, its heartbeat, pulse, blood pressure and saturation (level of oxygen in blood).

In order to maximise the safety of patients, it is mandatory that the child does not eat any solid foods for 6 hours and does not drink any liquids for 4 hours before the medical procedure. The reason for this is the fact that in anaesthesia the consciousness is reduced and thus the functions of swallowing and coughing may be controlled to a lesser degree.

The little patients rest in MOTO-MED Clinic in a special room, under the care of the personnel and the anaesthetist. After the general anaesthesia, nausea and vomiting can occur. For 24 hours after the procedure, the child should continue to be supervised.
