In order to meet the expectations of our Patients, MOTO-MED introduced to its offer 3M microimplants, which open new possibilities of orthodontics of the 21st century:
- Reduced time of treatment,
- New possibilities in treatment techniques,
- Reduced time of wearing full dental braces,
- It makes possible making slight corrections without the need to put on fixed braces for all teeth.
Orthodontic microimplants are miniature orthodontic screws that are placed, the same as conventional implants, in jaw bones.
Microimplant implantation procedure is completely painless and is carried out in local anaesthesia.
The purpose of microimplants is helping in orthodontic treatment through making possible the shifting of whole groups of teeth, using engrafts, instead of own teeth, as the points of support. This makes possible the use of several forces acting in different directions, and thus shortening the planned time of treatment by as much as one third and minimising the time of wearing complete dental braces.
After finishing the orthodontic treatment, microimplants are removed.
The use of orthodontic engrafts guarantees maximum comfort and excellent visual effect.
The diameter of conventional implants (that is those used in prosthetic dentistry for reconstruction of lost teeth) is 3.3 to 6 mm and their length from 8 to 16 mm, whilst the microimplants are 1.2 mm and 6 mm, respectively. They are small enough to prevent damage to bone and to be removed at any moment, when they are no longer needed. The healing of the bone after removal of the implant is very fast.
